Actalent Mechanical Engineer in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Description:

Our customer located in Ann Arbor, MI is a leading provider of innovative energy storage products and systems for various sectors, including commercial, industrial, and government/public sector customers. Their lithium-ion battery products are optimized for various applications, including commercial and specialized defense applications.

Currently their R&D team works on advanced lithium and beyond-lithium technologies, and they offer a new cell-making capability for manufacturing cells in unique shapes, sizes, and chemistries.

This is a full-time on-site Sr. Battery Product Engineer role. The Sr. Battery Product Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day product engineering tasks related to advanced battery pack and module design for government and defense applications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Haves:

  • Strong analytical, communication, and product engineering skills

  • Experience in battery pack and/or module design

  • Experience in conducting research and development activities

  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams

  • Knowledge of product design principles and methodologies

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant engineering field

Intermediate Level
