Knowledge
Mechanical Design Basics
Preferably Hydraulics/ Pneumatics background.
Should have the New product development process knowledge (steps involved)
Should have worked on the machine design following the new product development Process
Good to have Retrofit/ Correction work knowledge and its process (Change Request)
Experience
- Min 2-4 Yrs in Mechanical Design - Preferably in Medical Devices, Oil & Gas, Precision Manufacturing, etc
Education
- BE - Mechanical, Production, Mechatronics, Industrial, Materials Science Engineering.
Competence for Complexity
Should be able to work on the multiple projects parallelly.
Should be work on the changing priorities of the projects
Should be able to liaise with US counterparts in the evening Time, say 9 pm (during meetings), shift time can be chosen accordingly
Temperament
Should be able to work cohesively with multiple stakeholders (US SCLA/ Austin Engineering Team, NPME (Austin/India), Suppliers, Internal (India GP) team) on the dynamic work environment
Positive attitude and tough mindset when working on Challenging environment (Manufacturing Issues, tight deadline, Escalations, etc)
Accepts role requirement
Nature of work - New product Engineering or Continuous Improvement or Retrofit
Creation of Model, Drawing, Bill of Materials for the New Product Design.
Creation of the Retrofit Procedure
Ownership of the Gas Panel Design
Initiate and Convene status meeting or design review meeting with US Design Engineering Team/NPME Team. (Mostly in the Evening time - Around 9/10 PM)
