This job position is with the Product Specialist team in the CICV R&D group at Siemens EDA. We are looking for a Library characterization Product Specialist to be the technical interface to design engineers and managers on our key customer engagements. As a Library characterization Product Specialist your primary responsibility will be to support the technical development and deployment of our characterization solutions for standard cells and I/Os. You will be handling a wide range of technical issues, from spice simulations to advanced modelling of timing, noise and variation, working closely with our premier field applications and engineering teams to improve the accuracy, performance, and ease-of-use of our characterization solutions.

This role is based in Bangalore. But you’ll also get to visit other locations in India and globe, so you’ll need to go where this job takes you. In return, you’ll get the chance to work with teams impacting entire cities, countries, and the shape of things to come.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Drive high value technical engagements and initiatives with our top tier customers.

  • Collaborate with the field team and the customer to understand technical requirements.

  • Collaborate with R&D and Product Engineering to develop methodologies and solutions.

  • Build technical presentations and documents to highlight product value proposition.

  • Directly engage with the customer to deploy tools and solutions. Debug technical issues that block engagement and deployment.

  • Generate technical collateral, application notes, and training materials.

  • File bug reports/improvements and work closely with R&D to resolve them.

  • Focus on technical and customer success to help drive business growth.

  • Bachelor's degree (Master’s degree a plus) or foreign academic equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.

  • We need someone with experience in industry standard characterization tools and familiar with .libs, including CCS timing/noise/power/variability.

  • Understand methodologies involved in characterization and validation of standard cells and I/Os.

  • Are you someone with experience in simulating nanometer analog designs with industry standard SPICE Simulators!

  • Knowledge of ASICS design flow and basics of STA. Also, familiar with EDA design environments (UNIX) and able to script in standard languages, including TCL.

  • Self-motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Works with minimal supervision on customer engagements and technical issues with latitude for independent judgment and discretion.

  • Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and share your knowledge with others.
