Position Summary

Responsibilities:

• Ensure release deadlines are met at 100% on time with high quality objective and P1 defects are not introduced by the release.

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

• Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.

• Participates in design reviews and provides input to design recommendations where necessary.

• Estimates QA points on User stories and bugs - writes and executes test plans and test cases.

• Generates test data for assigned projects to fill test data gaps on projects.

• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

• Analyze test results and coordinate with development teams for bug fixes.

• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tool (Selenium with Java).

• Knowledgeable on CI/CD process and can perform deploys to QA and UAT environments without supervision.

• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.

• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

• Suggest new tools and techniques to improve testing efficiency.

• Provides leverage to QA lead by moderating bug scrub meetings when required.

Qualifications

"As a Senior QA Data Engineer, you will be a key contributor in ensuring the quality of Huron’s Global Products. The successful candidate will help define and ensure that Huron’s applications meet high standards for reliability, usability, and performance.

You will work closely with the product management and engineering teams in the design, implementation, release, and maintenance of multi-user, dynamic, web-based and analytics applications. Requires a passion for delivering exceptional products, the curiosity and drive to learn client application usage patterns and behaviors, the technical skills to develop reusable and automated tests to ensure high quality user experience and the independence and persistence to own and drive quality through the life cycle of the product. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential aspects of this role.

• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.

• Data QA – Structured Query Language (SQL) Advanced Level

• Evaluate large dataset for quality and accuracy. Determine business impact level for data quality issues. Work with Programmers to correct data quality errors.

• Experience with writing and executing test data scripts based on ETL mapping with the ability for detailed analysis of the outputs.

• In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and tests.

• Extensive experience with statistical packages, such as MS Excel, SAS, and SPSS

• Exceptional analytical skills.

• Advanced problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of best practices in data analysis.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Gathering data from primary or secondary data sources to identify and interpret trends

• Testing on BI reporting tool.

• Experience in testing the data pipeline for integration and unit testing of data.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Data is a strong plus.

• Ability to read/write SQL queries is a plus.

• Experience working in a Big Data environment, dealing with large diverse data sets

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience is required.

• Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) using Azure Devops or similar strongly preferred.

• Experience with test case management tools, such as Microsoft Test Manager.

• Experience creating and maintaining Automation frameworks preferred.

• Experience using SQL to query databases preferred.

• SoapUI - Experience in API testing, XML, Web Services, REST API.

• Experience with change management and defect tracking tools.

• Experience working with an offshore team preferred.

• Experience working in new product development setting under an Agile Methodology.

• Experience with Health care domain is preferred.

• Ability to adapt quickly to new and changing technical environments as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Solid verbal and written communication skills are required."
