INFORMATION ABOUT THE BUSINESS

Global Sales and Marketing Support team supports Aon business units across geographies with research, analytics, marketing, proposal support and operational support to client delivery. Its mission is to provide Aon sales, marketing and strategy teams with the information, analysis and insight necessary to make informed decisions across business development, client delivery and strategy

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

Incumbent would be responsible for providing support on proposal support in-line with SLA requirements and works closely with onshore writers, production assistants, and content managers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • 4-6 years’ experience is desirable.

  • Previous proposal support or content management experience is a must; familiarity and understanding of Insurance & benefits industry/terminology and or consulting industry/terminology is a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret proposal questions and RFP documents with the ability to identify content within the database that responds to the intent of the question fully

  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate data capture when transferring content in/out of proposals and the database.

  • Strong sense of urgency as it pertains to client and client team deadlines.

  • Intermediate understanding of consulting company operational structure with emphasis on providing exceptional client value

  • Ability to problem solve with strong critical reasoning skills.

  • Ability to properly identify and document system issues and communicate them with onshore writers and production assistants

  • Proactively follow-up and resolve any issues to ensure deadlines and client needs are met.

  • Work under minimal supervision on regular work and complex/ strategy RFP projects (Proposal response template creation – working within the RFP support tool to format the original document (word, PDF, etc.) and develop the structure for the response according to Aon branding and formatting)

  • Accountable for providing support on proposal support in-line with SLA requirements, timelines and quality standards while ensuring high level of internal and external client satisfaction.

  • Provides day to day support to the onshore writers and production assistants as needed.

  • Works closely with onshore writers, production assistants, and content managers to support:

  • Proposal response template creation – working within the RFP support tool to format the original document (word, PDF, etc.) and develop the structure for the response according to Aon branding and formatting

  • Aon Statistic Population - populate RFP responses where possible, with a focus on common Aon company information and statistics

  • Ongoing formatting – formatting of proposal documents during the RFP response process, ad hoc formatting of database content related to content management Prepares presentation by evaluating text and graphics

  • Forms and Appendices - Format appendices to facilitate population, and format and populate forms with required generic Aon content (e.g. Fed Tax ID, headquarters address, diversity statements, etc.)

  • Content Management - facilitate content management process through downloading and formatting content for SME review, sending content to SMEs based on predetermined schedule and content area, collect SME responses with new/updated content, and upload content into database once it has been peer reviewed by onshore content manager

  • Provides peer review of offshore colleague work on a regular basis

  • Escalates issues to onshore writers and production assistants as they arise

  • Expected to gain and develop industry and content knowledge and share the same within the team members in order to increase the depth of support that can be provided by the team as a whole

  • Identifies process improvement opportunities as part of daily work

  • Supports any process and technology enhancements/ initiatives

  • Participates in unit-wide initiatives as assigned with a view to driving operational excellence

  • Enhances technical skills and personal effectiveness through training, education and coaching.

    SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Extremely strong English communication skills to communicate effectively with onshore team members and to understand and interpret RFP questions and accurate responses

  • Strong timelines

  • Listening skills

  • Pro-actively support other teams, and colleagues, explore synergies and share knowledge

  • Must possess “can-do” attitude

  • High proficiency in MS suite with expertise in MS PPT and Word
