Google Senior Technical Writer, Mandiant Advantage Products, Google Cloud in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience producing documentation for a technical audience.

  • 5 years of experience in researching and writing documentation for developers, and Developer Operations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in managing customer and stakeholder expectations, planning documentation deliverables and milestones, and mitigating risks.

  • Experience with cybersecurity tools and concepts.

Technical writers plan, create, and maintain educational content as an integral part of the engineering or user experience. The content is often in the form of documentation, but may also be UI text, sample code, videos, or other educational material. Regardless of the content medium, technical writers are distinguished by their abilities to explain complex topics in a way that’s useful to their audience.

You’ll join a team of Technical Writers who work with engineering and product management to write documentation for Mandiant Advantage Products (http://www.mandiant.com/) . You’ll document new features, create instructional videos, and use customer and support team feedback to plan and deliver content improvements. You'll also have access to a team of writers, with opportunities to collaborate around tools, process, and innovation.

  • Write technical documentation for developers and enterprise customers, concept documents, how-to guides, and API reference documents.

  • Design and organize documentation sets for new features.

  • Rewrite existing documentation to improve the customer experience.

  • Manage documentation projects, and take responsibility for the quality of documentation.
