Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance (QA) engineer who will support the Safer Access to Schools Program, initiated by the NYC Department of Education (DOE), which aims to update New York City school’s security equipment at entryways to enable lockdowns and restrict access during emergencies.

The QA engineer will support the deployment integration, quality assurance testing, conduct automated and manual tests to ensure software performs adequately and meets the user requirements. The QA engineer will understand the overall organizational landscape and technology and will plan, construct, and execute product tests, system tests, unit tests, load tests, volume tests, penetration and network tests.

Mandatory Skills/ Experience:

• Must have 4 or more years of networking and experience in Genetec Security Center, Sipelia, Synergis, or another Video Management System.

• Must have 4 or more years of creating technical documentation.

• Must have 4 or more years of expertise in design, development, and creation of test plans and supporting test cases for computer systems and business applications based on business and functional requirements.

• Must have 4 or more years of ability to execute manual and automated test cases.

Desirable Skills/ Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or technical certification

• 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft, Test Manager/Microsoft, Coded UI or other testing suites

• 3+ years of experience working with Genetec Security Center, Sipelia, Synergis, or another Video Management System
