Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly billings for programs in conjunction with program management
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in preparation of annual budgets for programs in conjunction with program management
Prepare new budget proposals as necessary
Prepare monthly budget to actual analysis
Preparation of the monthly billing report
Prepare and submit budget modification requests as needed monitoring variances of expenditure over budget and advising program directors to monitor spending to the budget
Prepare program financial statements as required by either funding source or program management
Prepare supporting schedules and analyses for annual audit reviews for various programs and agencies in general
Review financial information for various programs and report on a regular basis to finance staff and program management
Record general ledger entries (salaries, revenue, bank reconciliation).
Preparation of supporting schedules and other miscellaneous reports as requested by the various funding sources.
Preparation of the year end reports for the annual audit, i.e. salary reconciliation to general ledger, bank reconciliation, vacation, and sick days accruals, etc.
Assist in preparation of salary details and other schedules for CFR and SSOP reports
Assist in preparation of supporting schedules for Uniform Guidance report
Reconciliation of various grants including regular billings and reconciliation of general ledger
Preparation of bank reconciliations
Other miscellaneous duties, as assigned
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Accounting
At least 3-5 years of experience in a not-for-profit setting with contract billing
CPA desirable but not a requirement
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with HHS Accelerator/Passport helpful
Experience with CFR and SSOP helpful
Experience with Great Plains Dynamic helpful but not essential
Strong analytical interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written skill
Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external agencies
