Basic Job Functions:

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the coordination, oversight and execution of Nucors accounting, reporting, and internal control related activities. This position reports directly to the Controller and will serve as backup for the Controller, Accountants, Accounts Payable, and Credit Analyst. The successful candidate will coordinate and execute accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, cost accounting, tax and inventory management. Lead role in the implementation, communication, and interpretation of accounting and financial policies, GAAP compliance, control and system improvements. Supervise audit processes to ensure proper internal controls are maintained. Responsible for staff training, development and growth opportunities for finance department teammates. The candidate must also possess the ability to develop an in-depth understanding of the production environment and have the ability to be the financial liaison with the division management team. This role will also be an integral part of developing teammates from all departments and be a contributing member of the division leadership team. The successful candidate must be willing and able to relocate to take on further leadership responsibilities within Nucor, now, and in the future.

Compensation Data:

This is a salary, exempt role with starting annual salary ranging from $87,000 - $101,500 plus division earned Profit Sharing Bonus and Return on Asset Bonus.

Additional Compensation Information:

One way that Nucor has chosen to reward our teammates for their contribution to our success is through our Profit-Sharing Plan. Established by former CEO Ken Iverson, the plan is Nucors way of helping our teammates prepare for retirement and share in the success of the Company. A portion of Nucors pre-tax earnings are contributed to the plan each year and payments are split between a deposit into a Trust Fund (401k account) and a bonus. Nucor also offers a Return on Asset Incentive plan. This is an incentive compensation plan based on the Division and Corporate profits for the year. The payments are based on a bonus percentage profitability table and payment is split between 2 payments a year.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or business Minimum of 3 years work experience in financial related position in manufacturing environment Willing and able to relocate for future promotional leadership opportunities within Nucor

Preferred Qualifications:

CPA, CMA, Masters Degree, or MBA Manufacturing or Cost Accounting experience Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products SAP experience Prior leadership experience
