Overall Missions:

  • Support the EMEA Rx Management, the Country Leaders, the lab managers and their respective EHS teams about Environment protection, Occupational Health & Safety at work and Loss Prevention (EHS) in order to implement the EHS policy & the “Eyes On The Planet” program of the Group and achieve their respective targets.

  • Develop, adapt and lead programs allowing to identify and control EHS risks and impacts, to fulfill applicable regulatory requirements and Group standards and ensure their deployment across EMEA.

  • Organize and participate to audits, inspections of fully owned and Partners Rx Labs and other sites to ensure site managers are adhering to compliance accountabilities and are implementing an approach based on prevention. Follow-up the corrective actions plans, including from other entities audits (ACS, Insurance, ISO certification, …) and conduct data mining of EHS findings and events to identify improvement trends.

  • Coordinate the EMEA Rx Operations network of EHS representatives and ensure a fast spreading of information, Safety Alerts, Significant EHS events and Best Practices.

  • Interface with Global EHS Dpt and other Regional Rx EHS managers to coordinate the EHS initiatives, verify and consolidate various EHS metrics and KPIs (monthly EHS metrics, sustainability reports, Insurance audit action plans, …) and contribute to the overall improvement of Group EHS programs.

Responsabilities :

  • Assess EMEA Rx EHS policies, their level of implementation, the mapping of EHS risks and the achievement of Group/EMEA Rx EHS targets.

  • Develop and adapt Group EHS programs and tools to take into account Region and countries Rx specificities. Contribute to the improvements of Group EHS programs and tools based on Region Rx experience, feedback and Best Practices.

  • Organize and share the regulatory watch and compliance for the sites of the region and its countries. Ensure that designated Group Standards are implemented by EMEA Rx sites when such standards have an impact on other regions or countries (for example: Chemical Management Standard, Machinery Safety,...). Anticipate and communicate the impacts of main regulation changes within the Region Rx and its countries on Group products (for example: Chemical regulations for import/export, ...).

  • Lead, support and develop the network of EMEA Rx EHS representatives. Ensure an efficient EHS communication among EMEA Rx sites and from/to Group.

  • Develop benchmarking with other Corporations or professional associations in the region and participate if needed to international committees (external lobbying).

  • Collaborate with the leaders of other functions (Human Ressources, Sourcing & Procurement, Sustainability, Global Engineering, R&D, Legal, Quality…) to ensure that EHS requirements and aspects are taken into account within their respective scopes in EMEA

Candidate Profile

  • Educational Background : Master’s degree / Engineer specialized in EHS

  • At least 10 to 15 years of experience in EHS

  • Strong leadership, organization, autonomy and interpersonal skills

  • Proactive and analytic thinking

  • Ability to Influence and work in a matrix environment
