Apple’s Hardware Technologies Program Management team is seeking a hard-working program manager with experience in academia to join a team of highly innovative scientists and engineers! We have a strong impact on Apple Hardware Technologies targeted University engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate would be determined with initiative. They must have multi-disciplinary skills with focus on teamwork, relationship building, and problem solving across a broad set of technologies.

Key Qualifications

  • Requires technical experience and program management experience. Individuals with extensive experience can tackle additional responsibilities.

  • Technical background in one of the STEM subject areas; EE or silicon chip engineering is a plus.

  • Experience with multi-disciplinary research.

  • Experience constructing and facilitating scholarship and fellowship programs is a plus.

  • Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty.

  • Self-motivated and dedicated with shown creative and critical thinking capabilities.

  • Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills.

  • Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience and is data driven.

  • Phenomenal leadership skills and ability to influence team members.

  • Collaboration: you are able to fit in well with a team, understand capabilities and priorities while enriching a reciprocal environment.

  • Limited domestic travel may be required.

Description

  • Facilitate and run scholarship and fellowship programs. - Drive multi-functional teams including university relations, engineering, legal, finance, strategic deals, and University administration/faculty/students to deliver creative solutions/engagements. - Define the program plan/schedule and run program execution. - Deliver executive communication/presentations and drive the decision-making process. - Ensure tight inter-team coordination and communication. - Effectively and consistently communicate overall program status. - Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies and program issues quickly and thoughtfully. - Improve the system: look for patterns, offer validated methodologies and implement change.

Education & Experience

BS and 3+ years relevant industry experience.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300.00 and $241,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
