As the Strategic Programs Security Manager, you will help lead SNC's risk-focused security program in the protection of company and customer information, people, and assets. You will develop and administer the local Security Program, ensuring alignment with corporate compliance policies and applicable government regulations. You will work closely with local IA/ISSM personnel, program teams, and business area leadership to identify and support business needs and ensure holistic program security compliance throughout the contract lifecycle.

You will be responsible for all facets of SNC's Security Program to include personnel security, document control, DD254 review and preparation, visitor access and control, physical security, and supporting security investigations. You will also have the opportunity to expand your security knowledge across a wide range of security disciplines and participate in internal security working groups and special project initiatives.

The Strategic Programs Security Manager is responsible for continuous enhancement and implementation of the local security program and procedures for classified and proprietary information protection. The selected candidate will support the IAS business area as the senior leader for the Strategic Programs Security branch and will also serve as the site Facility Security Officer (FSO) for SNC’s most complex operation. This position is responsible for developing and administering local security programs and procedures for classified and proprietary materials, documents, and equipment in support of DoD programs and internal company initiatives.

Specific job duties will include:

  • Facility Security Officer (FSO) responsibility for large and complex campus, developing and implementing guidance and processes to ensure full compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP)

  • Serve as the site CPSO/CSSO, coordinating the construction/modification and implementation of secure facilities, and development of localized governing guidance in partnership with both local and geographically separated security team members

  • Manage, mentor and develop multiple direct-report security team members, assigned across multiple geographic locations, supporting several practice areas within program security

  • Serve as the main Program Security Representative (PSR) for multiple complex programs, providing lifecycle security oversight to DoD program activities spanning numerous SNC and US Government facilities; function as the primary liaison with key respective government program security contacts

  • Responsible for implementation and sustainment of unique facility credentialing and access procedures

  • Implement procedures for the safeguarding of classified material and protection of assets

  • Support supplier/partner organizations in their understanding and execution of all program security requirements

  • Oversee the preparation of documentation and manuals outlining organizational processes, and providing program personnel with relevant security policy guidance, education, and training

  • Prepare and submit required security reports to DCSA, other cognizant security activities, and/or other customer officials as required

  • Lead facility security inspections and participate in security program self-assessment initiatives, ensuring compliance with security regulations prescribed by multiple USG agencies

  • Participate in contingency planning and response efforts, to include after-hours incident assessment and mitigation

  • Provide security assistance to other SNC locations when requested. Support BA Security Director and peer security branch chiefs with special tasks as assigned

  • Participate in the development and implementation of corporate-wide security initiatives, related working groups and project efforts.

  • Limited domestic travel required, to include SNC company facilities and customer organization installations

Must Haves:

  • Typically 6+ years security-relevant experience

  • Extensive knowledge of both government and industrial security to analyze, evaluate, and interpret current security requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of 32 CFR 117: National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM) and/or Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) regulations

  • Active, in-scope TS/SCI eligibility required

Preferred:

  • Strong leadership experience, and customer service focus are imperative; the selectee will regularly coordinate with company senior leadership and government customers

  • Typically, 8 years of relevant management experience

  • Ability to balance security compliance requirements with SNC's mission, goals, and culture

  • Must be able to comfortably and successfully interact with both internal and external customers.

  • Strong communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Self-motivated with ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects

  • Ability to recruit talent and develop high performing teams to support complex security environments

  • Ability to work with people in a team environment and deal effectively with changing project priorities

  • Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems and provide focused solutions

  • Detailed knowledge of, and experience implementing, DoD service component physical security requirements

  • Demonstrated practical experience managing large security forces operations

  • Experience developing localized security plans to include: Program Protection Implementation Plans, OPSEC plans, and Standard Practice Procedure documents

  • Minimum of 10 year experiences in supporting National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), or Special Access Programs (SAP) security requirements

  • Military force protection, counterintelligence, and/or investigations background desired

  • Five (5) years minimum experience in establishing DoD contractor security programs

  • High degree of attention to detail

  • Bachelor's degree in business or security-related field
