Research Engineer: Sound Sensing and Features positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI).  Serve as research engineer in Research and Advanced Engineering organization, focusing on audio interactions and technologies. Research, develop, and refine future features and acoustic sound sensing technology to ensure Ford stays on the cutting edge of investigating and developing innovative features for our future customers. Lead GTDS projects researching emerging solutions for long term problem statements (anticipated in 5 -- 10 years) and technology integrator milestone events (, , , etc.). Create and update audio feature roadmaps based on competitive analysis, supplier offerings, university findings, and distill into actionable plans for vehicle integration. Build proof of concept properties to demonstrate researched solutions and demonstrable prototypes to expose new features to program management and planning/strategy groups to aid in execution and adoption. Write software where necessary to improve prototype performance and execution.
