Nestle Platforms Network Manager in Esplugues Llobregat, Spain

The Network Platforms Manager is responsible for designing the organization's network infrastructure. S/He assesses the organization's needs and objectives, select appropriate network technologies, and design a network architecture that meets those requirements efficiently and securely. S/He provides the leadership, facilitation, analysis and design tasks required by a product or an integrated chain of products. This role animates technical discussions and sharing within own team and across teams, participates in sketching sessions with the behavioral specialist, product manager and business analyst, coaches and partners with operations to improve the continuous delivery pipeline.

Key Contributions:

  • Strategic IT Input: Collaborate with your primary Community of Practice Lead and Product Group Manager based in Switzerland to shape our IT strategy.

  • Network Expertise: Bring your expertise in network administration and architecture to the table.

  • Value Delivery Planning: Work closely with product management, enterprise architecture, and business analysts to develop and execute value delivery plans.

  • Innovation Driver: Lead the charge in exploring and implementing new technologies and approaches to enhance our existing IT infrastructure.

  • Business Alignment: Advocate for and contribute to the alignment of our IT strategies with broader business goals, including enterprise architecture development and product delivery.

  • DevOps Enablement: Make key decisions on system design and integration to empower teams in applying DevOps practices.

  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) strategy within your area of expertise.

Security, Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensuring Compliance: Take accountability for ensuring that our architectures meet current and future security, compliance, and privacy requirements.

  • Streamlining Processes: Implement continuous integration pipelines and automated testing to improve code merging, versioning, and releasing processes.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with peers across various departments to analyze business contexts and develop products that deliver incremental business value.

  • Effective Communication: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to exchange information and insights related to your area of expertise.

Leadership:

  • Team Development: Foster the development of high-performing teams in alignment with our organizational values and IT vision.

  • Cultural Promotion: Lead by example in promoting an open culture, innovation, and an entrepreneurial mindset within the team.

  • Talent Acquisition: Participate in recruiting and onboarding efforts to bring in diverse talent and plan for future capabilities.

Experience Required:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Hands-on Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT design and implementation, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies.

  • Technical Versatility: Exposure to diverse technical configurations, technologies, and processing environments.

  • Methodology Mastery: Proficiency in various development life cycle methodologies, including agile, lean startup, Kanban, and DevOps.

  • Product Delivery: Proven ability to define and deliver Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) with high IT consumer adoption rates.

  • User-Centric Approach: Experience in understanding user requirements and translating them into effective solutions, including A/B testing.

  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization, fluency in English is required.

  • Global Experience: Previous experience working in a global environment and collaborating with virtual teams.
