Job Summary：

In this role, you will run the FRIGOBLOCK-manufacturing facility Essen with 155 employees by providing strategic and tactical leadership for the operations of the manufacturing processes. You will be accountable for safe and timely production and delivery of products at targeted cost, quality and service level.

The role is directly responsible for Manufacturing, Logistics & Supply Chain, EHS and Maintenance teams and cooperates closely with other functions including Engineering, Finance, Quality, Procurement, Sales, HR and others in a highly international environment.

Responsibilities:

• Leads the overall planning and day-to-day operations

• Ensures the priorities of safety and operational excellence are embedded into all aspects of plant operations

• Proactive and responsive to all facets of customer satisfaction including delivery, schedule changes and special instructions

• Applies technical and analytical abilities with continuous improvement mindset to resolve and prevent problems and improve existing processes by utilizing Lean Production tools

• Identifies opportunities to modernize and/or automate processes and systems

• Generates and leverages data and reporting to drive company performance from an operational and financial perspective

• Develops, manages, and executes the annual operating plan and business’s financial forecasts and response plans

• Monitors, evaluates, and controls department expenses in close cooperation with Finance

• Ensures compliance with all Federal and Trane Technologies regulations

• Maintains a positive rapport will all levels of the organization in order to foster and promote a diverse and inclusive working environment, high level of morale, and high employee engagement

• Collaborates with all levels of the organization in order to ensure alignment of goals and progress towards them along with short term and long term needs and plans

• Monitors, encourages, and assists in the development and training of direct reports and their teams

• Custodian of talent and capability within the plant, ensuring appropriate succession and development plans are in place in cooperation with HR

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering (preferred Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering), MBA desirable

• Proven track record in a plant operations leadership role preferably within a mechanical manufacturing environment

• Experience in Materials/Supply Chain management

• APICS CPIM Certification is preferred

• Innovative, “can-do” mindset, hands-on mentality

• Entrepreneurial thinking as well as strong strategic and conceptual skills

• Proven ability to lead change efforts

• Experience in an international matrix environment

• Proven ability to effectively lead, influence and build high performing teams

• Experience with process safety regulations, management systems and health, safety, environmental as well as security practices and requirements

• Experience within the German regulatory environment as well as dealing with authorities

• Effective interpersonal skills and relationship building

• Fluent in German and English
