University of AK Marketing and Administrative Assistant in Fairbanks, Alaska

UAF's Community and Technical College is seeking a creative, team oriented person for our Marketing and Administrative Assistant position. This position is a vital member of CTC, assisting with the effective design and development of materials and concept designs to support CTC's core purpose of providing quality community-driven education. In addition, this position will provide administrative support to varying programs within CTC. CTC's communications and marketing is done on a year-round basis due to the unusual nature and timing of CTC programs and courses.

On a daily basis you will communicate information with program faculty and staff, create or update marketing and program materials, draft content, manage spreadsheets, and actively promote CTC and it's programs in a way that communicates CTC as the place to be.

As CTC's Marketing and Administrative Assistant you will provide support to the Marketing and Publications department and serve as a liaison between assigned academic program(s) and CTC's central support services.

To thrive in this role you must be an excellent communicator and capable of juggling multiple projects and deadlines, have advanced computer skills (including proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office/Google Suite) and able to think creatively with a keen eye for detail. UAF CTC offers many associate degrees, certificates, and occupational endorsements at 5 instructional locations throughout Fairbanks and the Tanana Valley of Interior Alaska. UAF CTC is responsive to local and regional vocational and technical training needs, and focuses on workforce development to meet the needs of the region and the state.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School graduate and marketing, publication, or other relevant experienceANDthree years progressively responsible office/administrative experience, or a combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This position is housed on the CTC campus in Fairbanks, the successful candidate will be working in-office. This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary andfull employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on theUA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
