As our Business Sr. HR Manager located in Franklin, MA, you'll play a relevant role in aligning HR strategy to business goals. This role provides business partner support to the VP, GM PPA and R&D VP, the PPA and R&D global teams, and leads facilitation of business HR efforts across regions in partnership with local HR teams. Apply your unique skills in a variety of different areas, such as learning and development, employee relations, on boarding, compensation, compliance, organizational change, culture transformation and performance management. You'll also get to showcase your abilities while working on impactful projects with the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) and Analytics Instruments Group (AIG) Human Resources team.

As a trusted partner to business/function leaders, in this highly visible role, you will implement processes and programs that increase the efficiency, competence and global effectiveness of your client groups.

What will you do?

Influence Business Partners

  • Guide business and function leaders in areas such as talent strategy, organizational assessment, leadership planning, structure, work force planning and change management to strengthen overall commercial capability.

  • Coach leaders and managers on application of HR policies and processes, restructuring, and complex employee issues. May coach employees on people management, career development, and personal leadership.

Promote a Positive Environment for Employees

  • Partner with people leaders to use Employee Involvement Survey insights to build and roll-out employee engagement-building programs.

Drive Successful Key HR Processes

  • Guide leaders to complete Core, Common and Consistent HR solutions in collaboration with COE process experts.

  • Drive PPA and R&D recruitment efforts within established division guidelines working with the Recruiting and Compensation COEs. Partner with managers in establishing hiring and compensation strategies.

  • Ensure that compensation and sales incentive plans and practices are attuned to realities of the marketplace, organization capabilities and requirements and administered efficiently.

  • Establish, complete, assess, and refine talent development and succession, planning initiatives that improve the capabilities of the workforce, and ensure talent is available to support business requirements.

  • Responsible for ensuring data integrity and the reporting and analysis of HR metrics.

  • Provides management with relevant reporting as needed. Maintains legally compliant and accurate employee information.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

How will you get here?

Education

  • BA/BS required; MA/MS preferred.

  • PHR/SPHR and/or other Professional Certifications desirable.

Experience

  • 6+ years of related experience in all aspects of human resources (staffing, compensation, employee relations and organizational development). Commercial experience preferred, but not required. Global experience useful.

  • Success in implementing business and change programs and processes that yield positive results.

  • Keeps commitments; exhibits candor and courage - is not afraid to establish a transparent presence and point of view, to engage in constructive debate, to hold others accountable.

  • Must model the highest degree of moral and ethical behavior.

  • Exposure to process improvement efforts (i.e., six sigma, practical process improvement) a plus.

  • Validated variable compensation experience in a Commercial environment.

  • Demonstrates personal awareness and desire for continual learning and personal development.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Intuition for business

  • Comfortable working with ambiguity

  • Strong action orientation with a high degree of initiative

  • Autonomous and bold: able to act on day-to-day work with limited instruction, general instructions on new assignments.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills are needed.

  • Fluent with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

  • Ability to use a high level of tact, subtlety, discretion and emotional intelligence/understanding in a global environment across multiple cultures.

  • Ability to travel approximately 10-15%
