What you’ll do:

At Eaton India Innovation Center, Electrical Sector EMEA- PMCC is looking for Software Engineer to join our Platform and Product-Controls team! This position is based at our office in Magarpatta City, Pune. We are looking for Software Engineer Verification and Validation for controls team on 'Industrial Controls Product line"" This responsiblities for this position include:

• Execute software validation activities across projects while working on Industrial Controls & Protection (ICP) products for ES-EMEA across technology domain of Enterprise softwares

• Software validation of C++, C#, React based softwares.

• Create Propose new test methods, test case automation and help Test engineers for smooth delivery.

• Work with local and global Managers , Project leads , Product engineering managers to formulate Test teams deliverables. Leverage EIIC ecosystem for validation to accelerate time to market.

• Build culture of innovation through planned events, participating in brain storming. Identify opportunities for automation and execute division goals for CI.

As a successful incumbant you will have had significant prior technical expertience, would need to connect with team on technical aspects with excellent foundation on embedded systems & comm protocols validation

You should have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and tasks while adapting quickly to changing priorities. You should be thriving in a growth-oriented organization

• Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents.

• Defines test strategy, develops detailed test plans, specifications, test cases, test scripts and test data sets that validate functional, performance requirements and update existing test procedures based on requirement changes and test analysis.

• Design and implement robust, scalable, high quality Test Automation Suites within a Continuous Integration and Deployment environment to improve quality and productivity of functional, regression, and system tests.

• Execute black, gray, and white box test cases against individual system components and platform APIs.

• Must be able to develop, execute, and maintain extensible automated tests using Python. Shell scripting and C++ may be required in other parts of testing.

• Define strategies for load and performance testing.

• Identify opportunities for process, tools, and test methodology improvements, and drive those from concept to implementation.

• Debug problems using coding and other techniques.

• Communicate technical concepts and information to internal staff/peers and stakeholders, strong verbal, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Validate official customer product releases as needed to support the target release schedule.

Qualifications:

• Minimum education for this position is a Bacholers in Computer Science/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution required.

• 3+ yrs of experience in software QA experience

• 2+ yrs of experience using Selenium or similar tool with Java

• 3+ yrs of working with web applications and desktop applications

• 2+ yrs of experience with performance testing (Good to have)

• Proven experience to develop test plans and test strategies

• Prover track record at making Go - No Go decisions for a project/ product

• Experience working in an Agile SCRUM development lifecycle.

Skills:

• Proficient with QA concepts

• Proficient with Agile concepts

• Understanding of Test Automation framework

• Efficient with VBA, VBScripts is an advantage

• Knowledge of protocols like MODBUS or SNMP is an advantage

• Knowledge of REST API testing.
