Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.Essential Duties:Contract Specialist IIReviews compliance with minority participation goals in consultant contracts.Coordinates, reviews, processes, and monitors agreements and supplemental agreements.Maintains, updates, and compiles detailed data, reports, summaries, files, records, logs, statistics, or specific contracts,including procurement documents and revisions; writes routine and unique correspondence.Meets with project managers to identify objectives, needs, and issues concerning project contracts.Monitors and coordinates with the Contract Services Division.Monitors, updates and reconciles accounts and contracts in an automated information management system, includingFinancial Information Management System (FIMS) and Budget Monitoring System.Reviews contracts, amendments, subcontracts, procurement documents, change orders, work orders, supplementalagreements, time extensions, and consultant qualifications.Sets up expenditure authorizations.Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.Contract Specialist IIIAll of the above and:Researches Department policies and previous contracts.Researches and identifies problems with proposals and contracts and proposes solutions.Confers with legal staff and management on various legal matters.Ensures contracts are payable and meet all legal requirements.Executes agreements and contracts.Contract Specialist IVAll of the above and:Analyzes and interprets legislation, statutes, and federal regulations and coordinates the development of policies andprocedures to ensure compliance with Department and governmental regulations.May serve as a lead worker and the related tasks.Provides technical and administrative support to include reviewing, processing, answering questions, providesassistance, and handles complaints and resolution of discrepancies and problems regarding contracts, billing, and warrantactions.
