Team

The Release Program Management team takes large, company-wide, highly visible programs from vision to release. We facilitate ServiceNow’s overall release process through key partnerships with technology and business stakeholders. We work hard to ensure high quality on-time releases that delight our customers.

Role

As a Staff Technical Program Manager on the Release Management Team, you will be responsible for managing operational release programs and leading strategic projects from start to finish. You will be responsible for providing innovative ideas to improve business processes and tools while executing daily program oversight of progress, tasks, and risks. Your primary focus will be supporting product and engineering teams throughout the end-to-end release process, but your responsibilities will also include cross-functional coordination with downstream stakeholders such as legal, go-to-market, and customer support. Each day you will exercise key skills such as conflict resolution, cross-team collaboration, as well as asking and answering questions with precision.

What you get to do in this role:

• Manage Release Programs to support ServiceNow releases

• Develop the overall prioritization, project plan, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria for large programs

• Identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate risks to meet program objectives

• Simplify complex issues into a crisp, actionable executive-level status

• Provide a proactive, strategic perspective on improvements to the business, SDLC or infrastructure processes

• Execute change management initiatives to ensure successful cross-organization adoption and sustainment of process changes including delivery of communications, supplemental artifacts, process maps, and training

• Coordinate the day-to-day activities required to deliver a high-quality product on time

In order to be successful in this role:

We need someone who is process-oriented, results driven, and able to drive the software release process. The key to success is the ability to be a flexible thinker and an outstanding communicator who is comfortable working cross-functionally with various stakeholders across organizational boundaries.

• 8+ years of project/program management experience in mid/large size companies, ideally on a Product Engineering or Release Management team

• BA/BS degree or higher in Business Management, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Operations and Information Management (OIM) or other equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience working on and managing large projects or programs with cross-functional teams.

• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio and similar applications

• PMP and Agile certifications
