Business Applications Practice

The Business Applications Practice within Industry Solutions helps customers maximize their investment in Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions and the full portfolio of Microsoft Products through accelerated implementation and adoption. Responsibilities

Consultants should be able to:

  • Engage with the Customer and the Account/Bid Team in a professional manner.

  • Use their technical knowledge and experience to position best practice use of Microsoft’s offerings.

  • Pre-Sales Support

  • Participates in the pre-sale process as needed. Helps scope the project by sharing customer or technical knowledge.

  • Technical Delivery

  • Follows capacity process outlined by Global Capacity Management team. Maintains tools with up-to-date skills and availability.

  • Participates in meetings with customers/partners to understand their business needs and/or scenario they are trying to solve. Uses technology knowledge to define customer/partner requirements and constraints, with direction/guidance. Engages others appropriately to understand and define customer requirements.

  • Supports project planning by understanding and documenting the risks and dependencies with direction/guidance. Develops test specifications and operations guides with direction/guidance. Manages their schedule and communicates to project leads. Delivers against Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).

  • Implements technical solutions by completing assigned project tasks with defined quality standards and following Microsoft Services processes.

  • Identifies issues and risks and engages with customers/partners or internal stakeholders (e.g., Project Managers) as appropriate to address and resolve issues.

  • Seeks to understand relationships with customers/partners/stakeholders and contribute to the drivers of satisfaction, dissatisfaction, and the root cause.

  • Intellectual Property Management

  • Develops knowledge in intellectual property (IP) and leverages IP to complete assigned project tasks. Communicates areas that need refreshing or gaps in intellectual property. Contributes to intellectual property development with guidance/supervision. Provides feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Business Development

  • Identifies opportunities to expand or accelerate the adoption and consumption of the cloud and Microsoft technologies.

  • Readiness

  • Learns new technologies or services based on business demands and industry trends. Obtains relevant accreditations and certification(s) as advised by domain leadership team. Shares experiences, best practices, and product news within the team. Participates in relevant technical communities at Microsoft.

  • Operational Excellence

  • Completes operational tasks and readiness, and ensures timeliness and accuracy. Follows Microsoft policies, compliance, and procedures (e.g., Enterprise Services Authorization Policy, Standards of Business Conduct, labor logging, expenses, travel guidelines).

Qualifications

Required skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Knowledge of competing products and industry standard implementation methodologies

  • Successfully demonstrated leadership in 2 or more complex projects for enterprise class customers.

  • Ability to apply analysis skills in principals of Solution to provide detailed, reliable solutions and estimates for service implementation.

  • Provide quality deliverables throughout the entire project lifecycle.

  • Ability to thrive under pressure.

  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Holistic solution, design skills

  • Previous track record delivering the full project life cycle

  • Flexible with travel.

Working with these technologies in the context of .NET is required

  • .NET Tools and Technologies – experience of leveraging the same and designing, implementing and deploying Business Mission Critical applications.

  • Database skills for Microsoft SQL Server development.

  • Agile Scrum methodology

  • Azure Dev Ops

  • Sound knowledge on ASP.NET MVC, WCF, WPF / Silverlight and Scripting languages would be preferred.

  • C#, JavaScript

  • NET web applications

  • WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) development

  • Windows Azure , SQL Azure
