Make a difference in the community as a Health Advocate with our Venice Family Clinic. This role will assist with follow-ups, referrals, appointments, reporting, monitoring, and maintaining an effective record-keeping system to ensure health and disabilities requirements are fulfilled in the Head Start Performance Standards. This position will receive guidance and direction from the Children First Early Head Start Health Services Manager, and will perform other duties as assigned by management.

Salary range: $28.78 - $59.34 Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, and bilingual in Spanish (verbal/oral).

  • Good interpersonal skills; ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff, children, parents, and other agencies.

  • Ability to exercise professional judgment, evaluate information before making decisions, and maintain all information in strict confidentiality.

  • Experience working with Childplus.net and Nextgen databases, internet, and MS Office Suite (MS Excel and Word).

  • A valid CA State driver's license, ability to travel to other locations as needed, and schedule flexibility.

Preferred:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, medical documentation, and governmental regulations.

  • Ability to assess information, solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
