• Analyzing equipment performance, failure data, and corrective maintenance history to develop and implement engineered solutions, improved maintenance strategies, preventative maintenance activities’ optimization, and other techniques and solutions.

• Improving plant equipment by implementing TPM programs

• Failure analysis to recommend operational, maintenance, and process changes so as to maximize equipment reliability, availability and life expectancy.

• Support plant maintenance in developing and implementing local programs to drive site equipment reliability and cost management

• Support and engage to measure and manage plant equipment performance for guarantees and warranty related subjects.

• Providing training and coaching in Root Cause and Reliability Analysis and taking ownership for ongoing corrective action tracking, implementation, and follow up to ensure that all Root Cause analysis projects are documented and solutions implemented.

• Partnering with appropriate suppliers and customer technical resources to document best practices.

• Evaluate and recommend process & equipment improvements.

• Conducting analyses and investigations to determine the relative reliability of factors such as cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, availability and reliability of materials and equipment.

• Support the Carmeuse Safety program and initiatives.

• Support the Carmeuse Sustainability program and initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills

• Possesses resource management skills;

• Knowledge and experience working contemporary concepts of continuous improvement

• Demonstrates competency in preventative, predictive, basic care practices, and computerized maintenance management systems

• Good level of verbal and written communication skills (English language);

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external customers both verbally and in writing;

• Ability to work closely with plant managers, staff members, supervisors, team leaders, hourly associates, contractors.

• Strong computer skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Internet skills

• Experience working in SAP and Autocad, Solidworks, prefered.

• Strong quantitative problem solving, decision-making and time management skills;

Job Qualifications:

•Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering

•5 years experience in an Engineering role within maintenance

•Experience in Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting.

•Demonstrated competency in preventative, predictive, basic care practices, and computerized maintenance management systems; experience with SAP is highly preferred;

•Industry background in manufacturing related to mining, paper mills, steel plants, refractory, heavy equipment fabrication, stone processing, cement plants, etc. Lime and cement experience is preferred.

•Able and willing to spend the majority of time in the plant with the operators, maintenance personnel, and contractors; able to communicate production and process plans effectively;

•Able to travel to other sites as needed;

•Good technical aptitude and analytical skills;

•Detail and process oriented with strong problem resolution abilities;

• Strong management and Total Productive Maintenance experience;

•Demonstrable teamwork and maturity with a strong work ethic

•Fluency in spoken and written English
