Job Summary

The Finance Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the financial functions of our organization, including financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monthly reporting & forecasting of sales and profitability

  • Establish and maintain planning and control processes and procedures in compliance with GKN financial regulations

  • Define and deploy standard financial processes and procedures in line with group and divisional directives

  • Ensure the Finance organisation is adequately resourced and managed

  • Ensuring adequate financial controls are in place and maintained and acting as the conscience of the business ensuring that general controls and processes are adhered to in business areas

  • Assist in the development of finance reporting systems. Fully support and develop continuous improvement activities to ensure that improvements are captured, validate & reported. Develop financial knowledge of non-financial managers within the business as appropriate

  • Assist in preparing assigned schedules for annual and internal audit.

  • Conform with and abide by all regulatory guidance and internal policies & procedure. Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility. To include Lean Kit (Purchase Order Approval), CapEx, Travel, Scrap etc.

  • Collaborate with local team on day-to-day and programmatic issues that impact the project Monitors compliance and mitigates risk related to existing Company policies and location-specific laws/regulations governing employment practices.

  • Oversees the analysis and maintenance of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization

  • Partnering with leaders on strategic plans to drive business results, customer service, and alignment with Company Values

  • Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the Quality standard and any other audit findings related to Finance.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role

  • Effective communication and influencing skills to ensure compliance with company policies and practices. Must be skilled at and demonstrate the ability to support change management initiatives.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to establish effective working relationships and credibility with all levels of the internal organization and external client organizations

  • Ability to take ownership of problems and follow through for resolution

  • Strong leadership, relationship building and interpersonal skills, both internally and externally

  • Ability to develop credibility quickly and work independently with a high degree of initiative while also being a team player who works closely with other members of the Finance team.

  • Excellent organizational, project management, problem solving and decision-making skills and a high degree of common sense.
