TEKsystems Desktop Support in Kenosha, Wisconsin

Description:

This Desktop Support resource is going to be in Kenosha, Wisconsin distribution center facility. Their full time Field Tech is assisting with a network refresh project that will take 6-9 months to complete. This position will be Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to microcomputer hardware and software systems and provides technical support to internal customers utilizing technology products. Responsibilities include:

• Provide second line of support to internal customers. Provide solutions to hardware and software issues.

• Install new software, hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives for customers following design or installation specifications.

• Answers client’s inquiries concerning systems operation’ diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems, and recommends or performs remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of system operation.

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Must have good innovation, creativity, problem solving, negotiating, and teamwork, skills.

• Must have good time management, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

• Must display good presentation, change and conflict management, facilitation, and collaboration abilities.

• Must be able to provide Network and server support. Must strive to meet or exceed personal and team objectives.

• Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies and practices for guidance.

• Must have knowledge of Windows 95/98, Windows NT, and Windows 2000.

• Desktop or Laptop computer

• Telephone with voicemail

• Networked copier/printer/facsimile

• Google Apps (Chrome, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc...)

• Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
