Purpose of the Role

Colas UK Projects delivers major transport infrastructure solutions in the UK, Ireland and internationally. Our huge global expertise alongside the strength of our UK in-house specialist teams, local manufacturing and 96-year knowledge base and experience, brings a unique mix of local specialists and global resources to projects. Due to growth in the department, we are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support projects through the provision of commercial activities in Leeds.

Main Responsibilities

The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will support our project in Leeds and be flexible to support other schemes in the UK when required, in addition to, management of budgets. cost forecasting, management and control processes including the use of contract programmes, change and risk registers. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take ownership in the Administration of contracts and / or subcontracts including payment mechanisms, change procedures, and resolution of contentious issues, final accounts agreement and management.

Ideal Candidate

The perfect candidate for the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor will be a degree qualified Quantity Surveyor with in depth, demonstrable evidence of relevant civil and highway post degree experience. Strong working knowledge of NEC form of contracts. An excellent communicator, client focused with good commercial awareness and commitment to business success. You will have good time management/attitude to change, ability to plan and prioritise your own workload working under pressure to meet deadlines.
