Amazon is seeking a Marketing Localization Specialist to manage the copywriting, translation, and transcreation of content for our EMEA and APAC markets on our global creative marketing team, supporting our recruitment goals. You have managed and developed translation processes for multiple regions in many languages. You have been on teams with designers, producers, and other creatives in a symbiotic partnership of combining words with visuals. You welcome the opportunity to review marketing materials for quality control, never miss a period, and know the difference between widows and orphans. You elevate the creative, champion cultural awareness, sensitivity, and innovation, and ensure the content resonates with the target market.

Key job responsibilities

This role resides on the Global Creative Services team within Workforce Staffing, Marketing. Core responsibilities include:

• Transcreation and Translation Management: oversee the translation process to ensure accurate and appropriate content adaptation

• Collaboration: work closely with our creative teams and vendors to ensure timely transcreations

• Linguistic Quality Assurance: drive best practices and continuous improvement by providing recommendations for innovation, ensuring the copy and design are translated correctly and consistent

• Cultural Insights: ensure final deliverables align with and adhere to cultural nuances, customs, and sensitivities

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, English, Communications, or a related field

  • Senior experience in a creative team in an ad agency or corporate marketing department

  • Native fluency in English

  • Proven experience in marketing localization for a global marketing or communication team

  • Experience working in the EMEA market

  • First-hand experience executing digital, social, and broadcast campaigns

  • Role is hybrid; work in the office at least days a week or from home. This role has a preferred location of London.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional native fluency in languages such as Spanish, French, German, Polish, Italian, Czech, Dutch, Arabic, Turkish, Japanese, Tagalog, or Mandarin is considered a plus

  • Experience building and maintaining multi-language copy libraries for multiple customer segments, campaigns, and other initiatives

  • Thorough understanding of writing and designing for a specific target audience and incorporating guidelines for brand voice

  • Ability to utilize research and data to inform messaging

  • Strong bias for action and the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines

  • Experience working in Recruitment Marketing is a plus
