Description

We are inviting applications for the role of an Internal Auditor based in Louisville, Kentucky. As an Internal Auditor, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and improving our organization's internal controls, risk management processes, and operational efficiency. You will conduct comprehensive audits, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance our business practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your auditing expertise and contribute to the achievement of our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute internal audit engagements in accordance with established standards and methodologies.

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify areas of potential risk and develop audit plans accordingly.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform detailed testing of financial, operational, and compliance processes to assess control effectiveness and identify deficiencies.

  • Document audit findings, including root causes and recommendations for improvement, in clear and concise audit reports.

  • Communicate audit results and recommendations to management and stakeholders, facilitating discussions on corrective actions and best practices.

  • Follow up on audit findings to ensure timely resolution and implementation of corrective actions.

  • Stay informed of emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory developments in the field of internal auditing.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. CPA or CIA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in internal auditing, external auditing, or related field.

  • Strong understanding of internal control concepts and audit techniques.

  • Proficiency in auditing standards, frameworks, and methodologies (e.g., COSO, IIA standards).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop practical solutions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity in work.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit management software.
