Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description

As a member of our project team, you will be tasked with the development of precision opto-mechanical components and products. This includes optical assemblies, IR & visible sights, and electronics packaging, primarily for military applications. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, analyzing, documenting, and supporting testing of products, systems, or subsystems. You will also use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software to develop new or improved products, evaluate and recommend design approaches, investigate solutions to product or process problems, and perform structural and thermal modeling. Furthermore, you will be expected to develop prototypes, collaborate with Systems Engineering and other Design Engineering disciplines on product development, and provide budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments. Participation in peer reviews and formal design reviews is also required. Additional duties include creating and releasing engineering drawings and documents using PLM systems, participating in the preparation of proposals, and supporting product testing.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Melbourne, Florida.

Work Environment

You will be working on a team of 6-10 people, where you will lay out architecture and undertake preliminary CAD work. Your tasks will include sizing parts and bearings and interacting with outside vendors.
