HOURS OF WORK : 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (7 1/2 hours/day)
SUMMARY :
The Position Control Manager is a pivotal figure within the HR Operations and Analytics division, tasked with the efficient management of the organization's position management system. This role demands a proactive approach to ensuring the integrity and accuracy of position data, which is essential for effective workforce planning and budget management. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Position Control, this individual will collaborate extensively with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs), Finance, Talent Acquisition, and various department heads to maintain up-to-date and precise position information across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Position Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the position control database, ensuring all position records are accurately maintained, including coding, classification, and status updates.
Lead the process for creating, modifying, and deactivating positions in alignment with organizational needs and changes.
Workforce Planning and Analysis:
Collaborate with departmental leaders to identify staffing needs, contributing to strategic workforce planning efforts.
Analyze position data to support decision-making related to staffing and organizational structure.
Budget Coordination and Reporting:
Work closely with the Finance department to ensure position data aligns with budgetary allocations and projections.
Generate regular reports detailing staffing costs, variances, and forecasting staffing needs.
Compliance and Data Integrity:
Conduct periodic audits of position data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Implement and maintain rigorous data integrity and security measures
Process Improvement and Project Management:
Identify opportunities for improving position control processes and systems.
Lead and manage projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness within position management operations.
Stakeholder Engagement and Support:
Act as a primary liaison between HR and departmental leaders, providing expert advice on position management and workforce planning strategies to meet organizational goals.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Generate detailed reports and analyze data on staffing trends, vacancy rates, and other critical metrics to offer insights that guide decision-making in workforce management.
Upholding Data Integrity:
Ensure the complete accuracy and timeliness of all position-related data within the companys systems.
Training and Development:
Develop and deliver training programs for managers and HR staff on position control procedures, system utilization, and best practices.
Technology and Systems Optimization:
Evaluate and recommend technological solutions to enhance position management efficiency, including HRIS enhancements or integrations.
Policy Development and Documentation:
Assist with the development and revision of position control policies and procedures, ensuring they are documented, communicated, and adhered to across the organization.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
REQUIRED :
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, Statistics, or a related field from an accredited college or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR operations, with a focus on position management, workforce planning, or a related area. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS); excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead and manage projects; knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
PREFERRED:
Master's degree in a related field
Strong Project Management Skills
Able to write and modify SQL, R, Python code
Experience with PeopleSoft HCM ERP
Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
