JHNA is seeking Junior Software Engineer to support our government customer in Patuxent River, MD.

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Analyze software engineering/software integration problems.

• Perform software integration and testing for aircraft avionics systems.

• Perform software management and integration functions, improve existing computer systems, and review computer system capabilities, throughput, and cybersecurity.

• Develop and apply automated solutions to problems.

• Use development tools to update tasks and stories, check-in, and version control.

• Analyze commercially available, open source, government furnished, and contractor furnished software.

• Analyze architectural and functional requirements, specifications, and interfaces.

• Contribute to software specifications and designs for proposed solutions.

  Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering. Degrees in Engineering, Math, and Physics may qualify with at least 1 year of C++ experience.

• 1 year of relevant experience

• Experience with bash scripting, database, and programming languages.

• Must have Linux/Windows troubleshooting skills.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

  Qualifications Desired:

• An active security clearance.
