Job Summary

Job Description

DUTIES: Provide technical leadership in designing and developing new software and web applications using Java, Eclipse, IntelliJ, CLion, Gradle, Maven, Github, and SVN; develop Webservices using SOAP UI, Postman and other REST clients, and Locust; work with Cassandra, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch databases; use Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Jaeger for application monitoring; use Kibana, Logstash, Elasticsearch, FluentBit, OpenTelemetry, and Loki for application logging; use Kubernetes cloud services; perform enterprise integration using Spring Integration, BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation), and Spring Batch; develop software using Python; perform Unix Bash scripting; use Oracle, MySQL, and Postgres SQL databases; use Rust; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience developing software using Java, Eclipse or IntelliJ, Gradle or Maven, and Github or SVN; developing Webservices using SOAP UI, and Postman (or any REST clients); working with Cassandra, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch databases; using Kubernetes cloud services; and performing enterprise integration using Spring Integration, BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation), and Spring Batch; of which three (3) years include using Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Jaeger for application monitoring; using Kibana, Logstash, Elasticsearch, FluentBit, OpenTelemetry, and Loki for application logging; and using Locust and CLion; developing software using Python; performing Unix Bash scripting; using Oracle, MySQL, and Postgres SQL databases; of which one (1) year includes using Rust.
