Honeywell Sr Production Scheduler in Phoenix, Arizona

As a Sr. Production Scheduler here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the production planning activities for our Repair and Overhaul (R&O) operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing production plans, ensuring on-time delivery of products, and optimizing inventory levels. Your expertise in production planning and coordination will contribute to the success and efficiency of our R&O operations.

You will report directly to our Sr, Material Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our R&O operations by ensuring accurate and timely production planning. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production plans with customer requirements and optimize inventory levels. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands, improve operational efficiency, and drive business growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate production schedule and plan for team metric.

  • Attend Tier Meetings and internal meetings to drive schedule on time.

  • Update ERP system daily to reflect accurate production orders and material shortages.

  • Identify and solve problems in and out of immediate work area independently and ensure materials are ordered and in stock to meet company requirements, while maintaining acceptable inventory levels

  • Engage in the execution, coordination and follow up with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of production plans with customer requirements.

  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

  • Planning, procuring, and assigning parts for our time critical customer repair order – you will “Clear Gate-2” in order to send parts to the floor for completion, for our value streams. 

  • Monitor material plans to hold firm alignment with demand and financial requirements – work with high sense of urgency to clear our repair orders through “Gate-2” readiness to release to the shop floor. 

  • Manage recovery plans between procurement and the production schedule when problems arise. 

  • Engage in 4-Week to 13-Week SIOP process with key focus on balancing fill rate and lowering backlog.  

  • Material Scheduling and Master Production Schedule management 

  • Manage an effective allocation process with Global Planning and OEM production organizations.  

  • Role model leadership of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) and AS-9100 based quality system compliance 

  • Optimize inventory levels to meet customer demands and minimize costs.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production planning processes, capacity requirement and labor load requirements.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 2+ years of experience in production planning or related roles

  • 1+ Years experience in Microsoft Office Access Database or Microsoft Excel

  • Familiarity with military and Federal Aviation Administration requirements (14CFR Part 145 – REPAIR STATIONS; and Part 43 - MAINTENANCE, PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE, REBUILDING, AND ALTERATION) for servicing aircraft turbines and components
