JOB DESCRIPTION

During this program the intern will be on-site, remote, or hybrid with their host department performing an individual internship in an entry to mid-level career type role. The intern will be on the job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40hrs per week. SAIC will consider any service member that is eligible for the program however, for immediate consideration, SAIC is looking to fill the following roles:

  • Supply Chain & Logistics – Onsite and potential for hybrid opportunities at specific locations throughout the United States

  • Program/Project Management - Onsite, remote and hybrid opportunities at specific locations throughout the United States

  • Talent Acquisition - Remote and hybrid opportunities

  • IT Desktop Support – Onsite and remote opportunities at specific locations throughout the United States

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in daily tasks or mock projects under the guidance of senior team members

  • Conduct research, gather data, and analyze information to support mock project objectives

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to learn, train and shadow each function of the department

  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance your understanding of the assigned department operations

  • Learn how to prepare reports, presentations, and interpret data to communicate project findings and recommendations

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices relevant to the internship focus area

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards while maintaining a high level of professionalism

  • Will be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment

  • Complete and attend networking opportunities, professional development, andtraining focused on job principles and responsibilities

  • Learn the fundamentals of the job role to later take on advanced responsibilities

  • Participate in a management experience or projectrelated to the role

  • Attend scheduled meetings and meet weekly with SAIC mentor

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Honorable discharge forecasted for military service required

  • Must be Skillbridge approved through Command

  • Highly energetic individual with ability to work independently and with minimal direction

  • Highly energetic individual with ability to work independently and with minimal direction

  • Have excellent written and verbal communicative skills

  • Must be detail-oriented, and highly organized

  • Proven record of providing excellent customer service

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships

  • Comfortable presenting ideas and solutions to leadership and team members

  • General business, project management, or employee relations experience

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong knowledge of PC, Windows, Internet applications, Microsoft Word, Zoom, Excel and PowerPoint a must.

  • Adept at learning new programs – position may require one to learn a variety of SAIC related software applications.
