Small businesses have unique spending needs; sometimes opportunities come along that require them to amp up their spending quickly, and they need solutions to help them succeed. But that can be risky for the lender -- how can we support our small businesses without adding undue risks for the company? That’s where this team comes in: our team’s products help our highest line Small Business customers spend what they need while still protecting the company from risk. We do this by using cutting edge technology, real-time data, and the ingenuity of a team of passionate product managers, designers, engineers, data scientists, and analysts working to redefine how millions of customers interact with their money. In this role, you’ll be an innovative leader who introduces exciting new products to market to meet the needs of our highest spending clients. You will own and continually evolve the financial document and data collection strategy to ensure our customers' financial position is strong and supports their potential growth and reduces risk to the business by enriching our case management system with insights and key data that drives efficiency gains for our business underwriting decisioning systems.

On any given day you’ll be:

Sharing openly. Telling stories that change the way people think about building products and solving problems, and that illustrate the power of what software can do to make them even better

Managing the business. Our products and technology solutions empowers both our customers’ businesses and our business, and you are at the heart of both

Succeeding strategically. Solving the right problem and holding on the wrong one; knowing when to say no, and when to say an enthusiastic yes

Here is what you will bring to the table:

What you’ll do:

  • Platform Enhancements: Working with various design, product, and technical stakeholders, you’ll work to identify high value enhancements, define requirements, and deliver measurable results to our Field Associates

  • Strategic Roadmap Development: Working with Field and Business stakeholders, you’ll build a roadmap that supports a growth agenda and foundational needs for a well-managed platform

Well Managed: Work with Risk and Privacy resources to ensure that our Field and our platforms meet all regulatory requirements

  • Expand Value: Continuously identify opportunities to improve and expand the value from our Platform, finding new uses to solve new problems, bringing valuable external tools into our environment to improve our platform, and find ways to creatively meet business requirements for high value initiatives

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have technical understanding of CRM tools, Salesforce Sales Cloud experience is a plus

  • Demonstrate experience solving complex problems with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Demonstrate experience developing a strategic roadmap that balances stakeholder intent and well-managed activities

  • Demonstrate experience managing the day-to-day work for an engineering team

  • Experience working with Design, Business stakeholders, and/or Field Sales Associates

  • Experience working with and managing multiple technology vendors

In this role, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas

  • You’ll define clear and actionable problem statements to help teams deliver results while displaying a comprehensive understanding of iterative software delivery, capable of thin-slice MVP grooming

  • You’ll leverage customer insights to influence priorities and roadmap feature development while advocating for and driving alignment between stakeholders in the development of acceptance criteria

  • You’ll obsess over UX/UI patterns and seek to create world class, omni-channel experiences

  • Business Focused

  • You’ll own and prioritize the near-term product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes, quickly identifying points of leverage in complex problems or systems, and utilizing data effectively to define success metrics and measurable outcomes

  • You’ll utilize balanced judgment in decisions about risks of both actions taken and not taken while innovating on ways to iterate faster in a well-managed way for the immediate team

  • Technology Driven

  • You’ll understand and leverage technology and end-state architecture vision to partner with technology team to drive comprehensive design decisions out of white space technical problems

  • You’ll share business strategy and roadmap with Tech partners to establish context while also leading and facilitating agile ceremonies alongside Tech Lead

  • You’ll deliver value by creating reusable, extensible and resilient capabilities and proactively identify opportunities when key metrics on security, resilience and performance are not performing

  • Integrated Problem Solving

  • Develop and champion a bold vision that drives meaningful outcomes by embracing the art of the possible

  • Build frameworks for complex decision making that enable effective debate and accelerate getting to the right answer

  • Transformational Leadership

  • You’ll develop and communicate a 6-month vision to senior stakeholders and partner teams with accurate details and transparency on risks and impediments, and proactively build relationships with those outside of your immediate team resulting in horizontal influence

  • You’ll Contribute to team culture and recruiting by leading activities to attract and retain top talent and mentoring and developing junior product associates

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • At least 3 year of product management experience or at least 3 year of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

  • MBA or Master’s degree

  • 2+ years of experience in Agile product management
