Job Description

Join a dynamic and well-versed team that provides support across multiple government contracts. The opportunity to be part of the Specialty Engineering team offers a motivated professional a unique entry point to work across a broad range of activities. HII is looking to hire a Project Management Analyst 1 for programs executed out of Roanoke, VA. The Project Management Analyst 1 will work closely with other Program Managers and assigned program staff on all aspects of current and future programs, including pre-award, execution, and post-award activities. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work on site, it will be performed full-time at HII’s facility.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and engineering leads

  • Reviews status of projects and budgets

  • Manages schedules and prepares status reports

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, engineering leads, and clients

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have excellent customer service skills, interpersonal skills and professional oral and written communication skills

  • Must have creative problem-solving skills

  • Ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI with enhanced security checks (CI poly preferred)

  • Proficient knowledge in the use of Personal Computers (PCs) and word processing and data entry software

  • 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or 4 years relevant experience with High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience managing projects in a relevant industry

  • Understanding of project lifecycle

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
