Robert Half is working with a stable company who is looking to add a Sr. Accountant to their team. Financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting will be among your duties as Senior Accountant. What you get to do every single day
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Requirements
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Detailed and have the ability work independently
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
2-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
Cash management experience
Solid understanding of month end closings
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Vow to meet business deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting or similar focus
