We are looking for a Supplier Quality Manager with a very strong quality background in problem-solving and issue resolution on supplier parts.

The position directly reports to Siemens Mobility Rolling Stock Quality Manager, Factory Supplier Quality and the selected candidate will be an individual contributor.

What you will be doing:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work and prioritize in a fast-paced environment are critical for success in this position.

  • Works with multi-functional departments including production, engineering, project management, and logistics for fast resolution of supplier issues.

  • Evaluate supplier’s systems, products, components, and applications against technical and quality requirements.

  • Applies preventive quality methods sought at risk minimization. Designs, maintains, and improves specific Quality requirements, specifications, and concepts based on supplier categorization.

  • Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects to increase the supplier capability of consistently meeting Siemens requirements.

  • Develop methods for inspection, testing, sampling, and training. Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electronics or relevant job experience

  • At least 3 years of experience taking care of sophisticated mechanical or electromechanical systems in Quality-related fields.

  • Multi-functional work experience in major areas such as product engineering, supply management, project management, manufacturing, or operations

  • Expert problem solver as an individual and leading a group, soft skills should include highly credible phenomenal teammate based on related experience and strong written, and verbal communication skills, being patient, willing to take action, and able to apply resources outside quality area.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Prefer Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

  • Rail Industry Experience in Quality

  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certified

*This job is based in Sacramento, CA. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://www.benefitsquickstart.com/siemens/index.html . The base salary range in Sacramento, CA, is $79,400 - $107,200. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
