Robert Half is partnering with a long-time client - a small law firm in San Diego - seeking a legal assistant to join their estate planning practice.

This is not a litigation environment, but rather, a transactional practice. Prior transactional law experience is strongly preferred.

The managing partner, a kind and down to earth lawyer, and his paralegal/office admin, who has been with the firm for over 30 years, are passionate about training.

Entry level legal assistants and tenured estate planning paralegals are welcome to apply!

Responsibilities of Role:

• Drafting correspondence and letters to clients, financial advisors, other vendors

• Filing and scanning paper documents in file cabinets

• Occasionally electronically in probate court (only a few per year – can teach this).

• Powers of attorneys, wills, trusts – we have templates for everything (but not a software. Inputting names, I provide instructions.

• Scheduling appointments in Outlook

^ Pay is contingent upon experience - please do not apply if you have not worked in a law office before.

Details of Role:

Hours: Pat starts at 8:30-4:30, but they close at 2pm on Fridays!

Location: Rancho Bernardo, on site daily

  Requirements

• Experience in estate planning is great, but transactional law firm experience is fine

• Someone happy to work in a small team (2 primary folks in office daily)

• Eagerness to work closely with clients
