Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will install, repair, maintain troubleshoot, test and load new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment. You will connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. You will Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair. You will plan, layout and complete the installation, modification and repair of systems. You will utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirement emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision. Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following:1) Performing maintenance and minor repairs to pipes and plumbing, wiring and electrical fixtures/equipment, and mechanical equipment; 2) Removing/replacing wiring, switches, and/or fuses; and 3) Assisting with sealing small sections of piping/plumbing systems, such as traps, drains, and piping. This position is subject to shift work. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including callback, nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. WORKING CONDITIONS: The work is performed both inside and outside. The work may subject employee to work outside in bad weather; in work areas that are noisy, dirty, dusty, and greasy; on scaffolding or cranes at heights of 30 feet or more; and in close quarters. May be occasionally exposed to the possibility of injury from falling, electrical shock, burns, and moving equipment. May be exposed to the possibility of cuts and bruises.
