A leading global tech enterprise is seeking a skilled Conversation Designer to develop and enhance the voice interaction model for customers across various features. This role involves close collaboration with UX designers on multimodal devices to create seamless conversation interactions across different modalities and device form factors.

Location: Remote (PST)

Duration: 3 months w/ potential to extend or convert

Hours: 40 hours/week

Pay Rate: $60-67/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop user-centered designs and content examples by integrating insights from UX research, market research, business requirements, customer feedback, and usability studies.

• Lead the creation of design concepts that shape both near-term and long-term strategic goals.

• Convert business requirements into use cases and detailed customer experience specifications.

• Produce examples and evaluation criteria for critical interaction qualities.

• Present design work to the UX team, product team, engineering team, company leadership, and external partners for feedback and review.

• Collaborate with usability and data mining teams to evaluate and optimize new and existing features.

• Work with other design team members on developing experiences, frameworks, processes, and best practices.

  Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a design-related field or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 3 years of experience as a voice designer, interaction designer, conversation designer, user interface designer, or a similar role.

• A portfolio showcasing relevant design experience and work samples.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise in conversation design, particularly in voice-forward interactions.

• Experience with advanced machine learning pipelines.

• Experience collaborating directly with developers to implement designs.

• Proficiency in voice/MM design tools such as VoiceFlow, Adobe XD, Gliffy, Omnigraffle, or Visio.

• Proven ability to foster and lead design culture within an organization.

• Skill in simplifying complex concepts and quickly creating a variety of sample interactions.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity, work independently, and handle multiple tasks in an agile environment.

• Additional design skills in related areas, including prototyping voice interactions.
