This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. Blue Origin is seeking a dedicated Physical Security Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating security administrative work, including liaison with property management teams, and supporting the development of physical security and emergency action plans. The role involves executing various duties in a fast-paced, high-tech environment and collaborating effectively with multifunctional teams. A high level of independence, efficiency in resolving unforeseen situations, and strong communication and organizational skills are essential for this position. Special Mentions: Expected travel up to 20% to support other Blue Origin locations. Relocation provided. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Assist with site security operations of assigned locations. Conduct risk assessments of Blue Origin facilities Respond to emergencies and provide on-scene leadership until relieved by incident commander or first responders. Function as liaison with local law enforcement, fire department, and emergency medical response. Serve as the primary security liaison with the Administrative Teams. These duties will include overseeing badge issuance and recovery, VIP visitor assistance, and assistance with badge access control levels. Work directly with the Property Management Teams to provide support to parking management, security guard response on Site. In addition, support the Badge and/or Key Lock program at HQ. Assist with documentation of security incidents. As directed, support security operations at other Blue Origin locations Create, draft, edit, and prepare reports, project meeting notes, presentations, spreadsheets, and documents including blueprint layouts for security systems, security investigations, requests for additional access control, implementation of physical security controls, and security planning. Assist with sourcing, vetting, acquiring, and assessing performance of outside resources necessary for project support as needed. Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years of Government, Law Enforcement and/or Corporate Security experience. Highschool Diploma. Possess a valid driver's license. Functional experience in Physical Security - guard force operations, security technology (access control/gates/CCTV/alarms). Functional experience in Threat Management - critical incident management, risk, and threat assessments. Functional experience in Investigations - criminal (i.e., property damage and theft) and employee misconduct. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Qualifications: 6+ years of Government, Law Enforcement and/or Corporate Security experience. Associate degree or higher. Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings. ASIS Certification (APP, PSP, CPP). Experience with Federal Government Security regulations. Ability to obtain a U.S. government Top Secret security clearance. Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $73,800-$103,320
