EMEA DC Quality Operations Manager

VF Corporation is looking to recruit an experienced Quality Control Operations Manager to join our European quality team. This position will be based in one of our European Distribution Centres: Sint-Niklaas (BE), Almelo (NL), Klecany (Prague) or Bardon (UK).

Let’s Talk about the Role

As our EMEA DC Quality Operations Manager you will lead a team of DC Quality Control Professionals across VF’s EMEA Distribution Centre network. This role will be instrumental in driving improvements and efficiency across DC Quality Control in EMEA and will report into the Brand Quality Operations leader.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Partner closely with Global Quality, DC Leadership, the Brands, and Sourcing to implement and execute new policies, procedures and standards to deliver high quality product to our consumers.

  • Help to employ metrics, analytics and KPIs to improve E2E Product Quality, while also enhancing operations and optimizing processes across the DC.

  • Actively provide input on overall strategy formulation, demonstrating good business acumen that improves processes and delivers positive results.

  • You will serve as the first point of contact for all DC EMEA quality issues, interacting with Brand Quality Operations, Sourcing, and Distribution Centres, to quickly resolve and mitigate any quality concerns.

  • This role will be accountable for All Brand’s at VF, EMEA Quality and will work collaboratively across the organization to ensure that VF’s Quality Standards are upheld.

  • As a people leader, you will be responsible for motivating, coaching, and developing talent.

Skills for Success

You should be someone who can demonstrate previous experience within Quality Control/Quality Assurance/Distribution Operations/Supply Chain/Product Development, or a similar field.

  • Fluent in English (both written & Oral) and fluency in Italian, French or Dutch is also desired.

  • Experienced working within the fashion/clothing/apparel space.

  • Experience from a leadership role and is focused on talent and development management.

  • Experience in building effective relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience in technical engineering discipline (e.g. manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, process, quality, etc), Proven problem-solving and negotiation capabilities along with a process-focused perspective are essential.

  • The ability to be proactive and adapt priorities in a fast-moving environment/role.

  • Proficient computer skills with ability to work on and present detailed analytics.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the creativity to develop solutions to challenging situations.
