The Senior Accountant is a CPA and works closely with the Controller, as well as the Accounting, AR, and AP teams and various affiliated departments across multiple locations. The Senior Accountant is responsible for daily banking, reconciliation of Accounts Receivables, P&L for other United locations, maintenance of the fixed asset ledger, various advanced analytical reporting using financial systems and Microsoft Excel, and more. The Senior Accountant acts in place of the Controller in his/her absence when required and is knowledgeable about all roles that fall under the Accounting umbrella.
Qualifications
Must be 21 years or older
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
CPA Required
Proficient in use of financial software
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Valid driver’s license for applicable state
Able to secure and maintain auto-liability insurance in accordance with state laws
Essential Functions:
Book and prepare cash receipts for previous day that United received to post payments to the customer accounts
Reconcile company bank accounts and monitor daily bank balance
Reconcile Accounts Receivable to close the financial month
Prepare P&L for downstate GA branches and check accruals
Reconcile various GL accounts
Maintain fixed asset ledger by logging new assets and setting up depreciations
Reconcile chargeback accounts on GL
Prepare the Audit PBC Checklist for financial statement audits
Perform various financial reporting (e.g. variance analysis)
Perform functions of Controller when required
Assist in the coding of invoices and expense reports for the GL
Cross-train job functions with other teammates
Minimal driving and travel to other company locations or other locations when needed
Perform other duties as assigned
