Our Web Experience team is made up of developers, publishers, and reports to the Director of Web Experience. We work closely with UX Designers, SEO experts, and marketing enthusiasts to create the best web experience possible.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our Web Experience team, reporting to our Director of Web Experience. This role is crucial in ensuring the high quality of our web properties and underlying code. You will be instrumental in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues to enhance user satisfaction and support business objectives.

• You will be working alongside the Web Experience team to QA individual code requests and larger releases with your knowlege of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.

• With the developers, you will create test plans and help manually test new features to get them ready for release and troubleshoot quality issues which may arise.

• You will help plan, build, and maintain a suite of automated tests to ensure base-level quality across the project.

• Work with your team to plan when and how testing should occur to balance workloads and deliver for stakeholders.

• Assist in manual verification wherever possible. We anticipate at least 50% manual testing for this role.

• Collaborate with the web experience team to refine software requirements and resolve any ambiguities.

• Manage bug tracking, prioritize and track issues to closure with a high level of detail and efficiency.

• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in software testing and quality assurance.

WHO YOU ARE:

The ideal candidate is data-driven and adept at working with a diverse group of stakeholders. They have technical expertise in software quality assurance principles with strong knowledge of test plan development, execution, and defect tracking. They are known for their problem-solving skills and ability to pinpoint problems, identify root causes, and implement timely solutions with attention to detail.

• 3+ years of QA experience, ideally within a web development environment.

• A problem solver with attention to detail and a passion for delivering outstanding digital experiences, evolving best practices and patterns to improve overall quality, speed, and efficiency.

• Fluency in web technologies: you understand HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and are familiar with SQL and other database management systems.

• The voice of quality on your team and push developers to focus on delivering code that’s up to standards, meeting all requirements, and anticipating future needs and edge use cases, not just speed of deliverables.

• Excellent communication skills with a cross-functional, team-oriented mindset, focused on understanding needs, solving issues, and proposing or implementing solutions.
