The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager is responsible for supporting Global and U.S. Technical Services acting as the Finance Business Partner to Global and U.S. Service teams with revenue in excess of $140M.

The FP&A Manager’s responsibilities include preparation/recording of monthly entries to ensure proper financial reporting of results, analyzing monthly / quarterly variances for U.S. revenue, Global and U.S. operating expenses, preparing concise financial performance presentations for Service Leadership, and presenting results / plans to leadership. Preparing budgets / forecasts and providing insights to global and regional leadership through data analytics. Additionally, this role will support gross profit improvement initiatives and project teams.

Responsibilities and expectations include:

  • Preparation and recording of monthly financial adjustments required to ensure the integrity of financial reporting for the Global and U.S. Service organizations.

  • Analyzing and understanding variances to financial forecasts / budgets to drive clear, concise performance reporting to both the Business Partners and Finance Leadership.

  • Preparation of Budgets, Projections and the Annual Strategic Review financials for the Global and U.S. Service organizations including facilitating reviews with business partners / key contacts, preparing revenue / gross profit / P&L analysis, and completing a schedule of risks & opportunities

  • Active day-to-day partnership with the Service organization as needed on various ad-hoc analysis to help drive business decisions and operations.

  • Support gross profit improvement initiatives for the Global and U.S. Service teams (e.g. Gross Profit Task Force).

  • Ad hoc support for Finance and Service leadership.

Requirements

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager must possess a reasonably high level of finance and analytical expertise. Demonstrate working knowledge of financial statements and analytical techniques. Assess accuracy of data based on comparison to budgets and/or forecasts. Good working knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and corporate finance policy guidelines. The ability to develop relationships and collaborate with Business Partners will be essential in carrying out the responsibilities of this position.

Other qualifications include:

  • B.S. degree required, Accounting or Finance

  • CPA / CA / MBA or equivalent or working toward qualification is desirable but not required.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Accounting/Finance function required.

  • Candidate must be a team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, possess the ability to multi-task, should be well organized, possess good analytical and communication skills and have good attention to detail and be quality oriented.

  • Knowledge of GAAP.

  • Working knowledge of SAP, BPC and PowerBI highly preferred.

  • Candidate must be highly proficient working with MS Excel and reasonably proficient with other common applications such as MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
