We are seeking motivated Engineering professionals to join our high performing Water Division and assist on our water infrastructure projects based in our Sydney office. Our projects span the lifecycle of project delivery from feasibility studies through to detailed design packages for construction.

About the role:

Our Water Group is growing, and we have several terrific opportunities for talented Civil Engineers experienced in delivering water infrastructure solutions. We are looking for multiple Mid to Senior Level Civil Engineers with expertise in water and wastewater infrastructure design to join our NSW based water team. In this position you will play an integral role amongst a diverse group of highly skilled professionals that ‘design with community in mind' to deliver program and project excellence for our water clients in both metropolitan, regional, and remote contexts.

We have a healthy workload focused on water supply and sewerage schemes with key water authorities in New South Wales. You will join a dynamic and skilled team that works on water infrastructure projects, not only locally, but across the APAC region.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will provide professional engineering skills in the areas of water and wastewater infrastructure along with the following:

  • Perform civil engineering tasks as assigned by the design manager which may include engineering drawings, calculations, reports, design criteria, to support our water infrastructure projects.

  • Assist with developing and managing the project scope including cost estimates, budget, staffing and schedule.

  • Conduct site visits and inspections to identify potential challenges and ensure compliance with design standards.

  • Collaborate and support the team as needed

  • Work collaboratively with our local clients and colleagues across NSW, Australia and the wider Asia pacific business.

  • Partner with a diverse client base from local government, industry and private development.

  • Liaise with suppliers to procure necessary materials, ensuring cost effective and timely delivery

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.

  • Professional Engineer license EA/ RPEQ or working towards is highly regarded.

  • Relevant professional experience in consulting or engineering within the water industry.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in potable water supply including thrust blocks design, gravity and pumped sewerage systems, and recycled water networks.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to details

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, manage the project and meet tight deadlines

  • Prior experience working with Sydney Water desirable or relevant governmental authorities.

  • Expertise with dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies and commercial companies.
