Purpose:

Reporting to the VP, Head of Bermuda FP&A, this position is responsible for preparing annual planning and quarterly forecasting for Athene as well as assisting with the quarterly analysis.

Accountabilities:

• Prepare and analyze consolidated quarterly forecast results and annual plan, including the development of the planning and forecasting documents and presentation decks

• Provide planning and forecasting documents and assist with variance messaging for Athene's executive leadership team

• Suggest and implement planning and forecasting process improvements

• Assist with the written commentary variance reporting at both the detailed and executive summary levels

• Conduct quarterly and annual actual-to-plan variance analysis on income statement line items

• Participate in ad hoc financial analysis projects

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a recognized accounting or finance qualification (i.e. CPA, CFA) or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• 5+ years of increasingly responsible financial planning and analysis experience, with preference to candidates who also have experience in the life and annuity insurance industry

• Financial analysis experience required with an emphasis in asset or liability analysis a plus

• Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

• Experience with general ledgers, databases, report writing and planning software is desired, especially Essbase
