JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Chemical Engineering (https://www.che.psu.edu/) at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar to contribute to research in Dr. Hee Jeung Oh’s lab (https://www.theohlab.com/) . The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to technical publications and proposals, as well as help guide graduate students in their research.

The Postdoctoral Scholar is required to have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in chemical engineering or a related field by the start date. The successful candidate will also have a strong background in (1) polymer chemistry and organic synthesis (e.g., anionic polymerization) and/or (2) polymer physics and/or (3) polymer membrane science and/or (4) 3D printing & free radical polymerization.

This is a term appointment for 1 year with additional years of funding available if there is mutual interest. Renewal is dependent on funding, progress made by the Postdoctoral Scholar, and the Postdoctoral Scholar's career goals, as mentoring plans will be tailored to meet the successful candidate's goals.
