What does a School to Work Mentor do?
Mentors provide one on one career exploration services to caseloads of 10 - 15 students with a wide range of disabilities. Some responsibilities may include going to various different school districts to meet with students, taking students on college or job tours, assisting with short-term internships, and much more. Mentors ensure students are prepared to leave the high school environment with the necessary supports in place to succeed in the work place!
Pay Rate
The starting salary is $21/hour
Schedule/Hours
Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM. No evenings, weekends, or holidays!!
Qualifications
Experience working with people with disabilities preferred
Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation
Associate's degree or higher
